In 2004, Jean Paul Gaultier, the newly appointed Creative Director of Herms directed his focus to design rather than the house's well-known craftsmanship and materials.His runway shows presented some of the most memorable and iconic Herms bags of today, one of them being the Shoulder Birkin 42.
